Reflection

First of all, before I started my course on Photography Grade 11, I didn't have enough knowledge about Photography. I have been interested in Photography for a couple years, but back in Spain, we don't have the opportunity to have a course on Photography at school. We still have some courses to learn about it after school organized by local photographers, but I guess I never had time or I was being lazy. I always asked my parents to buy me a professional camera, but they told me I wasn't prepare to have one and I didn't have the knowledge to use it. A couple months ago, I bought a professional camera (Nikon D5100) that I hope I will use a lot back in Spain. I didn't come to Canada just to improve my English, I came to learn as much as I could, and now, 30 days before I go back to my home country, I feel more than successful with this course. I know that I'm not an amazing photographer, but I have learned lot of techniques, different styles of pictures, and even the type of pictures that I like to shoot. Some technical things I have learned really useful are: rule of third (being able now to frame a picture properly); depth of field (sincerely one of my favorites, I like pictures with blurry backgrounds)...
I have also learned how to shoot proper portraits (either studio ones, candid or informal). I cannot choose a favorite project, each of the projects are different and I have learned/enjoyed different things about them. But some of the ones I liked the most were: Project 5 (Depth of Field); Photoshop's Editions (I'm confident with PS Cs6 because I have used before so it was fun); Portraits, etc.
The only project I didn't like at all is Rule of Third. I learned a lot in this project, but I feel that I'm not a stronger Rule of Third photographer. I'm glad I got to know the technique because it will be useful in the future, but I chose it as my least favorite one because is the one were I had more troubles to shoot with (I retake lot of pictures of this project because I didn't feel they were strong enough to submit them).
